What should your perfect founding team look like?

Post by Bappy10 »

Starting a business or project requires teamwork. However, choosing the right people to do it is a challenge. Your startup may have potential and offer an innovative product or service, but along the way, ideas can lose momentum if you don't have the perfect founding team.

Why do you need a team?
There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a solopreneur, but keep in mind that you're starting at a disadvantage.

According to the Startup Genome Report , solo founders, on average, taiwan phone number take 3.6 times longer to scale compared to startups that start with two or more members. The report also noted that teams are more likely to attract investors and grow compared to solo founders.

The magic number
After Startup Genome Report analyzed a group of successful startups, it appears that the perfect number of co-founders is 2.09.

Two is a good number because it allows you to distribute the necessary workload and the level of trust is high. Three members, on the other hand, allows for a greater diversity of skills and specialized roles.

What should a perfect founding team look like?
Ideally, your founding team's skills should complement each other. The size of your team is not as important as the qualities each individual member brings to the table.

A perfect founding team has the following roles: the visionary, the hustler and the hacker.

The visionary
The CEO or visionary is often one of the strongest pillars of the team. Although they understand the general goals and objectives, the visionary is the one who has the goal clearly in his head and has the ability to communicate it to others. He manages to convince clients, the market and investors. His work is people-oriented.

While not always very detail-oriented, the visionary looks at the bigger picture. Whether it's crafting the overall strategy, recruiting and hiring the best talent for the company, or making sure the right people stay interested in the project.

Visionaries seek to grow and expand the business, they are ready to adapt and change if circumstances require it.

The Hustler
The Hustler, or Go-getter, is simultaneously the doer and the taskmaster of the group, setting the pace and making sure everyone else follows.

If there is something you don't know yet, you will learn it, and if there is something that cannot be done efficiently, you will be determined to solve it, along with all the details and day-to-day operations that must be performed to make the project happen.

You may play any role on the project until a more suitable replacement can be found.

The Hacker
The hacker is the brains of the operation. His job is to make sure that the necessary technology and hardware are up to par. If it's a tech startup, you'll need a capable programmer; if the business is a restaurant, then you need an experienced chef; if you're running a venture capital firm, you need to have a person on your team who knows the market.

The quality or value of a product depends on many variables, but your hacker's experience can help you develop it effectively from the start of your project.

Building a business is difficult because of the known and unknown challenges that can arise. It is essential that your project starts with a solid foundation to face these challenges and, as you can see, each role in the founding team is vitally important to carry it out.
