What are the most common obstacles that people with disabilities encounter in digital?

Post by phonedata »

Since our birth we have had a single priority: to offer effective and pragmatic solutions to a complex and crucial problem, always keeping people at the center. I think I can say that we have succeeded and for this reason today we support more than 1200 organizations in Europe in the management of their digital ecosystems.

The reality is that I could list many examples to illustrate the extent of the problem. More than 95% of digital touchpoints have some kind of accessibility errors. Among the most frequent problems are those related to the use of screen readers and keyboard navigation.

These tools are vital for people who are denmark phone numbers blind or have motor disabilities and their effectiveness depends on well-structured code, a clear hierarchy of elements and a coherent user experience. Unfortunately, these aspects are often not sufficiently taken care of, making the applications unusable for their original purposes. Situations occur where a user can add an item to the cart, but not complete the purchase, or can select an event, but cannot choose a seat. In some more serious cases, the barriers are already present in the cookie banner, completely preventing access to the site.

What impact can digital accessibility have on people with and without disabilities? Accessibility
concerns all people and it is essential to understand that it does not mean taking care of a few niche users, but of a huge portion of the population. Accessibility is usability.
