Does not offer analysis or optimization tools

If you have a small website, you can add all the links manually.

If you have large volumes of content, you can use tools like Screaming Frog .

This tool scans your website for SEO issues, downloads hundreds of URLs, and even generates sitemaps.

It analyzes 500 URLs for free.

If you don't have a sitemap, use a sitemap generator tool to create one for your website.

A sitemap is not only useful for a content audit, it also makes it easier for search engines to understand the structure of your website and find all the pages you deem important.

Catalog your Content
After you collect your URLs, use a spreadsheet to sort them by different criteria. This also helps your team keep track of them.

Include the following fields:

URL
Page Title
Subject of the page (e.g., “educational guide on how to conduct a content audit”)
Priority keywords
Average position in the rankings of the main target keyword
Backlinks
Content type (e.g. blog post, news article)
Content format (e.g. text only, images included, video included)
Funnel stage (e.g. awareness, consideration, conversion)
Date of publication or last modification
Content Hub (Cluster)
Author
It is also very useful to collect metadata (title, meta description, h1) for each content. This can help you spot potential issues and fix them.
