FEWER MEETINGS AND CLEAR PROCESSES = FEWER MISSED DEADLINES

Post by mstakh.i.mom.i »

Reason 1: Work efficiency: The reason is poor processes and inadequate technology.
The study also looked into the question of the decline in value-added work. To do this, the specialists were first asked about the current situation and blockers were examined. The results are per year:

117 hours are spent on double work
104 hours are spent in unnecessary meetings
209 hours could be saved through improved processes
The experts state that deadlines for tasks are often missed due to unclear construction email list processes, meetings with too many participants and an overflow of information. According to the study, the formula for the solution is:

My experience is : These numbers are very high and are certainly due to the fact that we quickly introduced meeting formats and processes during Corona. We also quickly have meetings with a large number of participants via video conferences and certainly not everyone wants to speak in front of so many people and it is often difficult to coordinate. Incidentally, 1/3 of the study participants stated that they do not participate at all in large meetings. Processes are also certainly not fully optimized due to the speed of introduction. Imagine:

The hours for optimization (430 hours) are about 10 weeks of an employee's work. On average, someone works 200 days a year (vacation, sick leave, etc.). So you could optimize 50 days of work. That's 25% of the working time.
