Are influencers or pop/entertainment singers more popular, or better said, more famous, in Croatia?
Whose brand awareness is stronger?
It depends on which audience you ask.
When it comes to the audience, I belong to the millennials, a group born in the iran phone number data eighties, so I am personally more familiar with popular music singers, and when it comes to influencers, they are an indispensable part of my everyday marketing life.
Let's go back to the singers on the Croatian scene, those who were hits in the nineties, and then somehow fell into oblivion over time.
On the second weekend in May, I attended a concert of one such star, the pop idol of my youth. The vocal magician and star of the evening caused total euphoria among the guests, mostly millennials . The highlight of the event was when her then colleague and founder of the rap group joined her on stage.
It was a real time machine to the nineties, to the days when that dance band was a real musical sensation.
What does a dance band have to do with marketing and brand awareness?
Great! Because after 2 years of the pandemic, which brought isolation, we were all eager for socializing, live music, concerts, loud singing and jumping. What was missing from this, musically and organizationally impeccable concert, were even more millennials, their partners, but also children who should be a new audience.
And why were they missing?
Because Brand Awareness was missing ?
The star of the evening is considered by many to be the best Croatian female vocalist and still looks flawless. Her product is her songs, and her target audience is her fans, who, judging by the concert attendees, are millennials. She began her career in a duet, then in a dance group, and today she performs as a solo artist and singer-songwriter.
At one point in her career, she decided to withdraw from the public eye. And during that period, she stopped worrying about brand awareness, only appearing here and there on a TV show or a club performance.
The rules of marketing dictate that, regardless of whether you sell Coca-Cola, provide consulting services or are an artist, you need to be constantly present and communicate with your audience, of course, if you want the demand for your services to constantly exist.
