There are also agile project management methods that are increasingly being used in current project management. Agile means fast and adaptable and often includes lean methods (Six Sigma). Despite the difference, in practice these are often thrown together. These methods are:

This means that although the goal and direction of a goal are specified, the design of the path to achieving it is up to the responsible teams themselves. In this context, Scrum requires flat hierarchies coupled with a lot of transparency and a high level of communication. This in turn makes this agile method very adaptable.
